Who can register for NPAT?
NPAT is open to everyone.
What will be the duration of NPAT?
What will be the duration of NPAT?
The duration of NPAT will
be between 2 to 3 hours. However, the preparation time varies from student to
student and we recommend you to revise your programming concepts (also
available on our website in the Revise sections) before appearing for NPAT.
How do I sign up?
All you need is access to
a computer with a current browser and an Internet connection. Log on to:
https://npat.nptel.ac.in/ and follow the sign-up procedures. We will announce
the time of the exam shortly.
Do I have to visit an
authorized center to appear for NPAT?
No, you can appear for NPAT
from anywhere- your home, office, college etc.
What should I do after I sign
up?
After sign-up, you have to
attempt the practice problems (recommended, not compulsory) and wait for
the day of NPAT to take the test
Is NPAT free?
Is NPAT free?
Yes. You can take the NPAT
for free.
Is there a last date for
signing up?
We will keep registration
open up to 15 minutes before the NPAT opening time. After that registrations
will be closed and the NPAT will be made open for the specified time duration.
Can I take NPAT more than
once?
Yes you can take NPAT
multiple times each time it is offered by NPTEL.
I am facing issues with
submission/practice problems, what do I do?
Please make sure that your
internet connection is working and your computer doesn’t have technical issues.
If that is not the case and the problem persists, write to us at npat-support@nptel.iitm.ac.in
I am not free during the
dates of the exam. What can I do?
If it is not possible, you
will have to appear for another NPAT offered in the future.
What is NPTEL and who are

NPAT is conducted by NPTEL
which stands for National Programme for Technology Enhanced Learning, and it is
a joint project of seven IITs and IISc Bangalore funded by the Ministry of
Human Resource Development, Government of India; in association with ACM India.
